MITOTILISTLI CENTEOTL AZTEC DANCE
My name is Kasandra González and our group is called Calpulli Mitotilistli Centeotl. The name means “Corn is our main food”. We dance and venerate the first sacred food to Mexicans and the majority of the Latin American countries. Mexicans are known as the “Children of the Corn” and we are trying to preserve our ancestral rituals such as Aztec, Chichimeca and Temazcal dances.

Hello! I was born and raised in Venezuela, where I learned the richness of the Spanish
language and the vibrant Latin American culture, based on community, festive spirit, curiosity and creativity. I am a graduate of Psychology in Venezuela and obtained my Master of Social Work at the University of Washington. Jump On Spanish was born from the motivation of teaching Spanish and Latin American culture through positive relationships, experiential learning and celebration of group growth. We offer after school immersion classes for children ages 4-10 and we have story time and singing sessions in Spanish for families with children from 0-4 years old.
